25yd Indoor Competitions

 

Indoor competitions are held regularly throughout the winter months while the weather is unsuitable for outdoor shooting. These shoots are held in the Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club.

These are run using the 2013 ISSF Rules and Guidelines for 50m Outdoor. Unlike the Air Rifle competitions, there is no separate comeptition for men and women. Before each match, shooters are also given 15 minutes of sighting/preparation time during which the shooter is allowed to take unlimited sighter shots before any score is recorded. Following this, shooters have 50 minutes to take 60 competition shots

Medals are awarded at each competition for the overall competition winners along with the winners in each class. This allows novices shooters the chance to win medals while they are classed amongst shooters with similar experience.
